Tonic Interior Systems is a member of the AWCI (Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries) which promotes and represents quality interiors by building professionals.
We have a strong health and safety focus for our workers and workplaces and promote it through regular meetings and risk assessment on site with staff and the main contractors.
Our staff are first aid trained, we also promote health and wellness checks for our staff. Tonic Interior Systems are full members of Site Safe and Hazardco to ensure effective procedures are in place and cooperation with our main contractors.
All employees hold site safe construction passports and receive ongoing training.
Tony has 30 years’ experience and qualified in the Interior Construction industry. Tony began his career in Christchurch and quickly went from installing ceilings to managing job sites. Twenty years ago, he returned to Southland and continued to work in the Interior Construction industry before establishing Tonic Interior Systems in 2015.
In his current role Tony completes quotes, estimates, project management and liaises with the main contractor, site foreman, engineer, architect, and client to ensure a good understanding of the job and the client’s expectations are met. Tony is passionate about providing a quality service no matter how big or small the job is. Tony values and has built strong working relationships with his clients throughout the Region. Tony holds a Site Safe Advanced Gold card.
Leeanne has a robust business background and has been with the company since it was established in 2015. She has built strong working relationships with builders, suppliers, and other trades to ensure the smooth running of the business.
Her role includes the Strategic Planning, financial management, HR, health and safety management and supporting Tony with job and contract management.
She is dedicated to continued professional development in business & industry improvement including HR, H&S, sustainability, and diversity.
In 2023, Leeanne was elected Chairperson of the AWCI Women in Interior Construction Aotearoa (WICA) a working group which aims to promote the Interior Construction sector as a viable, safe and enjoyable long-term career for women.
